Earlier today several Chapter Presidents were contacted via email by a scam artist posing as President Emeritus Robbie Sparks.
The emails requested the purchase of hundreds of dollars in gift cards by each Chapter President with the assurance that they would be reimbursed.
Please beware if you received this email or any other email requesting any type of monetary transaction on behalf of the EWMC that the email request is TOTALLY and ABSOLUTELY FRAUDULENT!
We are informing you that under no circumstance should you respond to this individuals scam/con game!
Further more keep in mind that you would never under any circumstance be contacted by President Emeritus Sparks or any other Executive Committee Officer requesting monetary favors or transactions.
In closing as we find ourselves in the era of online scams and con games that target Organizations such as ours, please be mindful that we have to remain alert and exercise maximum discernment when confronted with matters of this nature.
